The Drycleaning Institute of Australia Ltd (DIA) is the peak representative body for the drycleaning industry in Australia . It is a non-profit organization representing the interests and concerns of drycleaning businesses. It provides the industry with a united voice to discuss common issues and problems.
The DIA informs, advises and assists members with industrial, legal and professional matters relating to drycleaning.
The DIA acts as an advisory body for the public by providing information about common problems with the care and wear of garments and the importance of proper and immediate cleaning of personal items.
The DIA also acts as an advisory body to manufacturers in the important area of care labeling. The Australian Standard for Care Labelling is the important reference document for the correct labeling of garments and household items.
