Laundry Australia P/L is a growing Dry Cleaning & Laundry Company located near the Gateway Motorway at Tingalpa, Brisbane, QLD.  We have a full time, career position available for a Production Dry Cleaner responsible for all facets of the Dry-Cleaning business operations. Plus Dry Cleaners operates across the greater Brisbane area processing in excess of 5000 pieces per week.

Plus Dry Cleaners is seeking to employ a strong career oriented person with the highest standards of quality and service to join our team. The prospective employee will ideally have a minimum of five years’ experience in the dry-cleaning industry and the ability to demonstrate organizational and team leader skills is a key responsibility of the role. Strong numeracy, literacy and communication skills are essential as is the ability to work in a close team environment.

POSITION DESCRIPTION RESPONSIBILITIES & OUTCOMES:

Operate and coordinate dry cleaning machines, garment spotting and pressing equipment to achieve efficient dry cleaning department operations.

This includes that each day’s dry-cleaning orders are collected, produced, quality checked, packaged and invoiced / priced correctly in a timely order for despatch and delivery by customer service drivers.
 

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:     

• Trade Qualification: Certificate III in Dry Cleaning Operations or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Dry Cleanings Operations.
• Extensive fabric knowledge for quality garment care.
• Experienced chemical knowledge for quality garment care.
• Strong track record with working to disciplined systems and procedures for Quality Production and Workplace Health & Safety.

• Demonstrated ability to drive a busy production process.
• Customer service focussed.  
• Ability to promote and maintain a safe working environment
• Basic computer skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
