About the role: We are a long-standing and well-respected Hobart dry cleaning business seeking an experienced Dry
Cleaning Technician to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis.
This role is ideal for a skilled professional who takes pride in quality workmanship, understands fabric care in depth, and enjoys working
in a friendly, customer-focused environment.
About the Role:
You will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of dry cleaning and laundry processes, ensuring garments are treated, cleaned, and
finished to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operating dry cleaning and laundry equipment safely and efficiently
• Assessing garments and applying appropriate fabric treatments
• Identifying stains and selecting correct cleaning methods
• Maintaining high quality control and presentation standards
• Assisting with workflow and supporting and directing team members as required
• Organising maintenance and servicing of equipment and ordering supplies
• Providing professional and personable in store customer service when interacting with customers and suppliers
Skills & Experience:
• Proven experience working with dry cleaning equipment
• Sound knowledge of fabric types, stain removal, and garment care
• Strong understanding of general dry cleaning and laundry processes
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and quality-focused
• Positive attitude and ability to work well within a team
• Good communication skills and a personable manner
• Drivers license
Hours & Conditions:
• Permanent, full-time position. 7:30am – 3pm Monday – Friday with alternate week Saturday work required from 7:30 to 12:30pm
• Stable role within a long-standing Hobart business
• Hourly rate to be negotiated dependant on experience.
