Head of Policy & Advocacy
Council of Small Business Organisations Australia

Adele Sutton is Head of Policy & Advocacy at the Council of Small Business Organisations Australia (COSBOA), the national peak body representing the interests of Australia’s small business community.  COSBOA’s strategic policy and advocacy agenda works to ensure that the voice of small business is heard at the highest levels of government and regulatory decision-making.

Adele is a highly experienced regulatory lawyer with deep expertise in competition, consumer, and privacy law. Prior to joining COSBOA, she spent over six years at Direct Selling Australia, where she led legal and policy initiatives across a complex and evolving regulatory landscape.

At COSBOA, Adele works closely with government, regulators, and industry to advance practical, evidence-based reforms that reduce unnecessary regulatory burden and create a more enabling environment for small businesses to start, grow, and thrive. She regularly represents small business perspectives in consultations, submissions, and Senate inquiries.
