Yoav Tourel is Chair of the Board at ASTRA, the peak body for the short-term rental accommodation industry in Australia and New Zealand. In this role, he helps lead the organisation’s advocacy, government engagement, industry education and member representation across an increasingly complex regulatory landscape.
Yoav has played a key role in ASTRA’s growth and professionalisation, including strengthening its policy and advocacy work, supporting engagement with state and local governments, and helping build the industry’s leading conference platform for short-term rental operators, property managers, platforms and sector partners.
Alongside his ASTRA role, Yoav is Managing Director APAC at Guesty, where he has spent the past seven years building the business across ANZ and the broader JAPAC region. He established Guesty’s regional operations from the ground up, scaling teams across sales, customer success, onboarding and operations, and working closely with property managers across multiple markets.
A hands-on, customer-facing leader, Yoav focuses on the intersection of industry advocacy, technology, regulation and market reality - helping bridge the gap between policymakers, platforms, property managers and the communities they serve.
